Gord McDougall, Vice Chairman and Director, Connor, Clark & Lunn Managed Portfolios Inc.
CFA; MBA, University of Pittsburgh (1969); BComm, Sir George Williams University (1968). Gord is the Vice Chairman and a Director of Connor, Clark & Lunn Investment Management Ltd. and a member of the client solutions team responsible for institutional client service. Gord is also a Director of the Vancouver Foundation and Chairman of its Investment Committee.
Grahame Lyons, Managing Director, Claymore Investments Inc.
Grahame Lyons has been instrumental in educating the Canadian market about exchange traded funds (ETFs) for the past six years. He established the Vancouver, BC office of Claymore Investments and is responsible for local business development and national marketing efforts with major dealers across the country. Prior to joining Claymore, he was Principal of Barclays Global Investors Canada responsible for iShares ETF business development in Western Canada. Grahame has over 19 years experience in the Canadian financial services industry through various senior positions at some of Canada’s largest asset managers. He received a Bachelor of Arts (Administrative and Commercial Studies) degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1985 and is an Associate Member of the Canadian Society of Technical Analysts (CSTA).
BRENDA McEACHERN, B.Comm, LL.B, TEP, Canada Life
Brenda graduated in 1982 with her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia, where she received her law degree in 1983.
Brenda is a member of the Canadian Bar Association Wills & Estates Subsection, the Fraser Valley Estate Planning Council, the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and an associate member of the Conference of Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU). Brenda has a particular interest in charitable giving and is a past director of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (Vancouver). A frequent lecturer on estate planning issues, Brenda is also an active community volunteer and fundraiser and sits on the professional advisory committee of the Vancouver Foundation. Prior to joining the National Estate and Tax Planning Team in 2001, Brenda was managing partner of her own law firm for nine years before merging her practice with a larger firm in Vancouver. Brenda worked closely with small business owners and
professionals, developing an expertise in corporate reorganizations, estate freezes, family trusts and succession planning for both entrepreneurs and families. As a tax and estate planning consultant with Canada Life’s National Estate and Tax team, Brenda develops and implements advanced tax and estate planning strategies and provides assistance to financial advisors in delivering value-added services to a select group of clients in the business and affluent markets.
