Why being a part of the Vancouver Chapter of Advocis as Membership Chair means a lot to me. I have been a member of Advocis for my entire career, even though my roles in the industry have changed many times. So at one point a friend asked me “why are you not more involved in your local chapter?”

And I had all the reasons: too busy, my practice is in growth, there are other people that do that, etc, etc. I asked myself “Do I enjoy meeting and being a part of events that give me new ideas? Yes” “Do I enjoy the benefits of the work Advocis does? Yes” You know where I am going with this. Being active at local meetings, or meeting with people of our Chapter and industry has given me a lot. I love to share why Advocis and the local Chapter add value to my career, that’s why I share a little of my time.  Come on out meet, some old friends and yes some new ones as well. We would love to see you at a meeting.
