Advocis National Board to Attend PD Day

Advocis’s CEO Greg Pollock along with some members of the TFAAC board (http://www.advocis.ca/content/about/board.html) will be in attendance at our upcoming PD Day.  This gives you a great opportunity to speak with the heads of our organization on a face to face basis.  They will be at the event from breakfast right through

Professional Development Day? Personal Development Day? Either way, it’s still PD day!

Welcome to another edition of the Advocis Greater Vancouver Blog. For me, this (blogging) is an entirely new experience so bear with me here…

This will be my third year being involved with PD Day, and my first as Chair. One of my objectives is to bring a slightly different feel to the day, with a focus on working ON our business instead of just working IN our business.

Advocacy Chair Update

You might have recently attended our first quarterly breakfast Seminar for 2011 or just have been thinking about the on-going regulatory issues that may affect you, your practice, and your family.

    Hello everyone,

Happy holidays to you all. I know that many of us have been very busy with your fiscal year ends and many of you are near your fiscal and calendar year ends.

Help your clients increase their RRSP PACs by up to 77% at no cost to the client!

    If your client:

    1. is employed and the employer deducts tax at source; and

    2. makes a monthly payment of at least $175.00 to an RRSP by  pre-authorized cheque (PAC); and

    3. claims a deduction from taxable income for RRSP contributions when filing a tax return in April.

Then your client is probably paying too much tax.
